I am deeply sadden by the passing of Bertita. She was a kind hearted, loving person. I will never forget how special she always made my mom feel, whenever they met. My thoughts and prayers are with her sons, Holger, Edgar, Fernando and their families. May they take comfort in knowing that she is now resting in the arms of our heavenly Father.

My First Memory of Bertita goes back to Pintag when I was a 3 year old child. I awoke before my mom and dad did and felt hungry. I wondered around the house and found Bertita who was already up. I told her I was hungry. She reminded me that I must first greet her with a good morning and then she would be happy to make me breakfast. I don’t recall what I ate to satisfy my hunger, but I never again failed to say good morning to Bertita or to any other family member I might meet when wondering around the house on the hunt, early in the morning. Rest In Peace Dear Bertita.
