Obituary of Mariana Toledo

Mariana Toledo, 80, passed away peacefully in her home on November 12, 2021. 

Mariana was born on May 5th, 1941 in Santiago, Dominican Republic.  She dedicated her life to education. She served in several administrative and teaching positions at the prestigious Colegio Dominicano De La Salle in Santo Domingo. In addition, she served the Catholic Church as a nun.  She moved to the United States with her family in 1987 where she continued her devotion to children and opened Children’s Home DayCare Center in Guttenberg, NJ and successfully managed her business for over a decade. 

Mariana had a contagious smile and a kind heart. She loved to cook for others, was a talented painter and loved to sing and dance.  

Mariana is predeceased by her husband, Genaro Toledo. She is lovingly survived by her son, Enrique Genao and daughter-in-law Kristen; grandchildren Lucia and Landon; sisters Angie Alcalde, Josefa Maritza Aguasvivas, and Miriam Gabriel; along with many other family and friends who will miss her dearly.  

The family will receive relatives and friends for visitation at the funeral home Monday, November 15, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
