Obituary of Elvira Trinidad

Elvira Trindad Abreu, aged 85 was born in Sabana Grande de Palenque, Dominican Republic on August 27, 1937; who immigrated to the United States in 1965 to New Jersey with her husband, Diogenes Trinidad and children. She spent her last 17 years living in West New York, NJ.

Elvira is survived by her children: Cristina Trindad-Murray, Miguelina Trinidad, Diogenes Trinidad, Luis Eduardo Trinidad; grandchildren: Dezarāe Trinidad, Lauren Galanti, Ariel Trinidad, Luis Edward Trinidad, Anthony Trinidad, Alex Castillo; great- grandchildren: Allen Sanford and Nolan Trinidad; very loving 14 siblings as well as many nieces and nephews.

To know Elvira, was to know strength. She was a strong woman who helped raise her siblings and raised her own children and grandchildren, while also providing for her family. An outspoken, strong-willed, elegant individual who always made her appearance known whenever she walked into a room (partially because she was always *fashionably* late). Elvira was a matriarch, who will be deeply missed by all.

Her family will receive relatives and friends for visitation at the funeral home Friday May 26, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Interment will be held at Weehawken Cemetery, North Bergen, New Jersey Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 10:00 AM.
