Obituary of Edilma Estrada

Edilma Estrada, resident of North Bergen, NJ. Formerly of Medellin, Colombia. 

Edilma sadly passed away at her home on October 26 surrounded by her loved ones.  Edilma is survived by her husband Carlos, her three sons Hector, Juan, and Jimmy, and her four grandsons Jacob, Jay, Josh, and Travis.

Edilma emigrated to the United Stated in 1980 where she raised her three children and returned to school to learn english.  One of her greatest joys was becoming a United States citizen.  At the age of 56, Edilma attained her Associates Degree and soon after began her career at the Bergen County Superior court where she worked as a clerk and retired in 2018.  She enjoyed her role and was adored by her colleagues.  

Edilma enjoyed spending time with her family, especially hosting holiday events at her home.  Her other passion was traveling with her husband.

Edilma was a devout Catholic who was a regular at weekly mass.  She will be remembered for being kind and loving, and making friends everywhere she went.  She had an affinity for helping the less fortunate and lived a life filled with optimism and gratitude.  

Visitation will be offered on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

There will be a mass held in her honor on Thursday, November 2nd at 10:00 am at St. Roccos Church in Union City, NJ.
