Obituary of Samuel Crespo Jr.

Sammy  “Sixpack” Crespo, 58,  succumbed to his short but courageous battle with esophagus cancer on August 5,2024 at his residence in Weirton, WV while in hospice.  He was originally from Union City, NJ and moved to the Pittsburgh, PA then Weirton, WV area in 2016.

Sammy is survived by his father, Arsenio, his oldest sister, June (Samson), his youngest sister, Nancy, and niece Becca. He is also survived by his fiancée and caregiver, Junna Ellison. 

He is preceded in death by his wife, Cindy (Luban),  mother, Bessie Bellone, brother Raymond, and grandparents Carla & Ramon (parental) and Carmela Bellone (maternal grandmother).

Sammy was a retired sanitation worker for the Public Works of Union City, NJ.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Jorge Rivera Funeral Home in North Bergen, NJ. The viewing will be held on Sunday, August 11, 2024 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and a funeral mass on Monday at 10:00 am at St. Rocco’s Church in Union City, NJ followed by his burial at Fairview Cemetery.
