I was Sterling's science teacher at Union Hill. I am devastated by his passing.
I've had thousands of students in my career---and I can truly say, Sterling was one of the nicest, sweetest kids I had ever met. He was so personable, so fun, so well loved by all.
I was so thrilled when I got to see him again this past year when I took a taxi driven by him. We were able to catch up. he showed me pictures of his son--so adorable---and he was so proud.
God rest Sterling's soul. The world lost a wonderful human being.
